In 1977, Barry and Robin wrote “Emotion” for Australian singer Samantha Sang, and the song reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in 1978. The Bee Gees ended up recording their own version of the song in 1994. Later in 2001 it was covered by Destiny's Child as a tribute to the Bee Gees and became an international hit.
