This is just a set up for part 2. As a MAJOR Harry Potter fan, this movie disappointed me. Is this a GREAT set up movie? Yes it is. Is the Malfoy Manor sequence cool? Yes it is. But the rest of the movie they’re just camping in the woods sulking about Ron leaving them. While part 2 is great, this is disappointing.

In a drastic departure from the tropes that made this franchise so iconic, the first part of The Deathly Hallows is a slower and quieter, but also a gritty and brutal character-driven story in a world now overtaken by the forces of evil. By far the darkest entry of the series.

While I was watching I noticed there were like 4 important scenes cut From this version of the move but I know they didn’t get rid of them cause when I watching it on USA last week they were in there. It would have only added like 2 mins to the movie run time and I just wanna know why. like what was the point in that
