Description

    I’ve been waiting 10+ years for a blu-ray release of this film. Got tired of waiting and bought this during an iTunes sale and picked up the HD copy of this for $4.99. Needless to say, the video quality is subpar. Either Apple’s encore of this is bad, or Paramount severely needs to revisit this transfer from the films negatives. I even popped on my old SD DVD copy of the movie and it looked as good or better in parts of the film. I will admit after watching the film on my 65” inch screen I pulled it up on my iPhone 11 Pro and watched a few minutes on it and the subpar quality was not as bad, due to a much smaller screen. However, if a title is touted as HD, it shouldn’t look like a 480p SD port upscale to 1080p. The movie itself I would still rate 4 out of 5.

    I saw the movie on one of the fiber TV services today. The “print” was beautiful. As I didn’t get to watch the whole thing, I bought it on iTunes. The HD transfer on iTunes was really bad. It almost looks like it has been up sampled. Based on this alone, I give it one star.

    Great movie! Great cast! Why is it so hard to get the rights to sell the movie here??!! At least work on that...all those high-end prep-schools can relate to this hypocrisy of applying their codes..

    The place they filmed this was at my school, the Middlesex School in Concord, MA. Its one of the best boarding schools around the country and we're so proud to be able to lend the school grounds to this movie, because its honestly one of the best :) CANT BELIEVE ITS NOT UP FOR BUYING.
