This Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie is made with frozen bananas, low fat milk, peanut butter and unsweetened cocoa powder, for a healthy smoothie that tastes like a milkshake!
VERSION 1 (small)
- 1/4 cup low fat milk (or almond or non dairy milk)
- 1 banana, sliced and frozen (about 1 cup slices)
- 1 tablespoon light creamy peanut butter (or powdered low calorie peanut butter)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
VERSION 2 (large)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- ½ cup ice, or as needed
- 2 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
COMPARISON: 2 tablespoons of Jif creamy peanut butter is 190 calories. 2 tablespoons of the powdered peanut butter is 60 calories. So you are reducing the calories in the drink by 130 calories.
