Hawaiian sweet breads are crowd-pleasing dinner rolls that go with everything from tasty BBQ to scrambled eggs in the morning.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup warm pineapple juice
- 2 1/4 teaspoon Dry Active Yeast
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil plus more for bowl
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups Bread Flour plus more for dusting
Stand mixer method
- Place water/pineapple juice in the bowl of a heavy-duty stand mixer. Add the sugar and stir. Sprinkle yeast over liquid. Let stand for 10 minutes. If bubbles form you may proceed
- Attach dough hook to machine. Add the oil and salt. Mix at low speed
- Add flour one cup at a time and knead for 3 minutes. Proceed with rising and shaping as shown in the video
Bread machine method
- Add ingredients as per manufacturers instructions. Set on dough cycle. When time is up proceed to SHAPING as shown in video
