Dhaka muslin, also called Dacca muslin, is a very fine, woven cotton fabric from Bangladesh that was described as early as the third century CE. It was especially prominent during the Mughal Empire from the 16th to 18th centuries and was worn by emperors and French queen Marie Antoinette. Some called it "woven air" or "the skin of the moon".
