The Incredible Amazon Warriors

The Amazons, in Greek mythology, are fierce and independent warriors. They lived in a secluded matriarchal society, famous for their combat skills. The most famous Amazons in Greek mythology include: Hippolyta, queen in possession of the magical girdle, the object of Hercules' ninth labor; Penthesilea, a warrior who fought in Troy and faced Achilles; and Antiope, who was married to Theseus.
