Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

This Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie is made with frozen bananas, low fat milk, peanut butter and unsweetened cocoa powder, for a healthy smoothie that tastes like a milkshake!

VERSION 1 (small)

  • 1/4 cup low fat milk (or almond or non dairy milk)
  • 1 banana, sliced and frozen (about 1 cup slices)
  • 1 tablespoon light creamy peanut butter (or powdered low calorie peanut butter)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

VERSION 2 (large)

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • ½ cup ice, or as needed
  • 2 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

COMPARISON:  2 tablespoons of Jif creamy peanut butter is 190 calories.  2 tablespoons of the powdered peanut butter is 60 calories.  So you are reducing the calories in the drink by 130 calories.
